KDE is 100% libre, I'm pretty sure. I meant about the firmware. It uses the Cortx-A53 CPU, I don't know though if it has libre firmware. Also I guess other parts will also require non-free drivers/firmware. Still looks nice.

@ Alexander Ross -- sounds like it's time for a replacement LCD cable ;) a
reseat won't always do the job. Wires are shorting out inside the cable, is
what it usually is -- the insulation wore out in a spot, similar to how a
hole develops where the garden hose always kinks.
