one of the maddest, most complex and densely-connected PCBs i've yet done... :)

Looks like electronic spaghetti to me, lol. Assuming that it actually
works, even halfway -- well done indeed!

...also, I see at least one missing word in the text. An 'extraordinarily
(ridiculously) small'... what?

Typos and the like are of course forgiven, because laying that thing out
just /had/ to leave you a little scatterbrained ;) I daresay if I tried to
do all that insanely-dense routing and whatnot, the top of my head would
blow off!

it's driving me nuts. when i go lie down to sleep and close my eyes
in the dark i'm *literally* seeing tracks and vias. as in, "not in my
imagination", i'm LITERALLY seeing ghostly after-images from the days'
routing efforts.

Dude, it's time for what folks around my part of the world call a 'vaycay'
;)

Go on holiday (as they say in Britain) for a couple days. Speaking of
Britain -- a few days in the UK will do *anyone* some real wonders.
Countryside, city, doesn't matter. London is a beautiful city, and the
English countryside is equally exquisite... I wish I could be in either
place right now myself... I have a friend in King's Lynn, which I've not
been to -- ah, but funding is a problem for me.

I have so many nice memories of travelling abroad, back when Mom and I had
a little money... when we arrived in what we both (somewhat jokingly) still
refer to as "the great walled city of Chester" -- and the taxi driver there
learned that Chester is my mother's maiden name -- he said, "Well, welcome
home! Where have you been the last four hundred years?"

...I could go on but (a) someone would inevitably accuse me of spamming
(probably will, anyways) and (b) I'd probably cry. I miss travelling.

You should get some memories like that, too, Luke. You know the old line as
well as I do. "All work and no play..." ;) so go outside and play! Make
time for it. No excuses ;)

...so play tourist for a couple days ;) maybe even a week. The point is,
you need a break from all this tech work. Go smell flowers and do frivolous
things -- and enjoy yourself while you do, dammit! Trust me when I tell you
it's extremely necessary brain maintenance. (Steven Covey would file it
under "sharpening the saw" ;) ) I won't presume to speak for everyone, but
I promise that *I* will still be here when you get back.

In a word, working. Sounds like I'm wrong, though -- and I'm glad to be it
:)
